Thisdark naturalJuju hat was handcrafted by theBamiléképeople ofCameroon. Also known as aTyn hat, this ceremonial headdress was traditionally worn by tribal chiefs or royal families.
Nowadays, Juju hats are increasingly popular as a distinctive wall decoration. Authentic Juju hats have been constructed ingeniously -feathers woven on wooden sticks and held together by a black bandage in tissue, and woven on a grass base- allowing to fold and unfold. A small rope is also included to secure the Juju hat when closed.
